Places of interest
- Polska lista językoznawcza is the source of linguistic news big and small, mostly in Polish, mainly about events in Poland.
- Formal Description of Slavic Languages — biannual meetings of Slavicists.
- Poznań Linguistic Meetings — annual, nowadays in the summer. A good opportunity to meet well-known linguists of various fields and frameworks.
- The Slavic Linguistics Society with its flagship, the Journal of Slavic Linguistics. Note also their useful resource page.
- The Linguist List site offers much more than just a list of conferences. We also have a page of our own there.
- Roy Cochrun's conference list.
- Head-driven Phrase Structure Grammar (HPSG) pages at Ohio State University and at Stanford University
- Lexical-Functional Grammar (LFG) pages
- Pages devoted to Optimality Theory (OT). Conceived as a theory of (morpho)phonology in the early 90's, it is now also employed within syntax, in both LFG and P&P. Keywords: ranked soft constraints, representational approach.
- It would be nice to be able to employ theoretical linguistic findings in something more real, for example natural language processing. Try the wiki of the Association for Computational Linguistics.
